About me and my practice
Life at present and the world we live in, is possibly at it's most challenging. Feelings of crippling anxiety or depression can make life feel, at times, that every day is insurmountable. You may be struggling with 'fitting' in and unsure of exactly who you are. Maybe you suspect you have ADHD/ASD or you are at pre/post diagnosis? You've lost someone close to you and the grief and bereavment is just too much to cope with? Your relationships in life with others and with yourself resonates a real 'stuckness' and you just don't know how to move forward? Your struggling emotionally to make sense of it all?
Maybe it's time to seek help and maybe Person-Centred therapy can be that help? I'm Chemene and I am a Person-centred Counsellor. I am a qualified, registered person-centred counsellor and I work with adults and young people (11-18 years.) I have worked with a variety of issues including grief/bereavment, complex grief, suicidal ideation, anxiety, depression, ADHD/ASD and relationship/couples work. I have a special interest in working with grief and supporting people with neurodivergence and it's impact within relationships as well as within gender and social transitions.
Wherever you are, currently in your life, I'll meet you there and stay with you on this journey until you are where you want to be. Your pace, your story, your safe space to grow.
My practice is based on Shefford high street with convenient parking. A welcoming, calm and comfortable environment. I also provide online services.
Experience
For the past 2 years I have worked within an NHS doctors surgery as well as within middle and upper schools locally.
Working with adults, young people and couples. Helping people and supporting them with various mental health challenges.
I specialise in grief and complex/complicated grief, suicide bereavement as well as supporting people with neurodivergence and relationship counselling.

I offer a free 20 minute initial consultation for me to gain an understanding of what youd like from counselling and for you to see if youd like to work with me.

Adults £55 (60 min) online/in person.
